You might've noticed her name on the 'It's a Crammed Crammed World! 2' compilation on Crammed Discs, which was followed by her 'La Débutante' lp (produced by Colin Newman and Aksak Maboul) and one 7", but then came the big void. Sonoko continued to live and study in Paris for a good while, but when her music career didn't take off the way she'd intended it to, she moved back to homebase Kyoto. And if it wasn't for Jan Van den Broeke (STRLP-005), we would never have heard of her again.
