Canadian Dub Reggae & Dancehall Roots

One of ICs all time reggae LPs and created here in Canada by the mechanic Jerry Brown and his Summer Records crew "Earth, Roots and Water. Recorded in Malton, Ontario in a basement studio. featuring the legendary talents of Adrian “Homer” Miller (vocals), Anthony “Base” Hibbert (bass), Colin “Zuba” Suban (drums), Matt Shelley (guitar), and Tony “KB” Moore (keyboards). Both a sonic and visual force, the charismatic youths soon found themselves performing in and around the Toronto area, opening up for The Police and The Stranglers while extending the UK-born punk/reggae love affair to North America.

The whole record plays through in a true heavy roots and rub a dub style with Jerry Brown at the mixing console filling in with his reverb and delay wizardry. Many reggae nerds have compared Jerry Brown to a Northern version of Lee Perry. See the track "Zion" featuring searing synths, subtle horns and an insane spaced out breakdown! Also, check the hidden low slung spoken word funk tune "Lou Sent Me" featuring Homer on vocals that almost feels like your hearing Gil Scott Heron and his band playing at a local dive bar. Featuring the incredible artwork by Ato Seitu. (Some copies have posters in them come see the poster at our shop ;)

This record is elusive and really never comes up. Cover has some slight wear, foxing but is intact. Record is VG+ no scuffs and plays Ex.
