Lovely Lp by Duke Lumuba and Rim Kwaku Obeng aka Rim and Kasa's "Love Me for Real" with a more mellow subdued winner here. Rim was scouted by Quincy Jones (for other productions)and this Lp demonstrates why the legendary soul producer courted Obengs undelniable talent to fuse jazz, high life and funk here. Together, Lumumba and Rim composed "Love is 50/50" an undulating ode to a realized and universal love almost like Beat poetry with an spiritual jazz backdrop. "Nsu Shiw (Hot Water)" just cooks with the same vibe but gets frenetic in it's call/responses. Sublime work here dub poetry meets Africa jazz entirely captivating on both sides. Masterful and oof what a cover! Copy is Canadian promo, VG+/VG+ vinyl and sleeve (has slight ringwear and punchhole).
