A seminal album that defined the Brazilian Tropicalia movement. A subversive pop movement that embraced Dadaism, eschewed traditional instrumentation and critqued the military dictatorship that ruled Brazil at the time. Still, the music is hypnotic and harmonies soothing. A fave of David Byrne, so much so it was the catalyst for starting his own imprint label Luaka Bop. Whole record is amazing 11/10 TIP!
